Privacy Policy
Published: 18 August 2026.
Applies to claudedu.com and to the online course on Claude Code.
1. Who processes your data
Digital Vanguard LLC, registration number 56381280, address: 2/2 Anastas Mikoyan St, apt. 239, Yerevan, Armenia. Company site: dvsoft.tech.
To ask anything about this policy: stan.shevchenko@dvsoft.tech. The founder reads the mail personally.
2. What we collect
We collect exactly what the course needs to work. There are no advertising counters, no social network pixels and no analytics on the site.
Your email address. You give it yourself in order to sign in. We have no password at all: you sign in with a one-time link we send to that address. The link is valid for one hour and works once.
Your progress through the course. Which sections you marked as done, which checklist items are ticked, your exam results and the status of your practical assignments. Technically this is one record in a database tied to your account identifier, plus the time it was last changed.
Your chosen interface language. Kept in your browser in the cookie `cc-lang` for one year.
Your country, derived from your IP address. When you open the site, our hosting tells us which country the request came from. We use it to suggest a page language and show a price in a suitable currency. We store neither your IP address nor the country derived from it — they exist only while the request is being handled.
The link to your practical assignment and the correspondence about it. An assignment is submitted as a link to a repository or a cloud drive, sent by email to stan.shevchenko@dvsoft.tech.
We neither receive nor store payment details. The course is sold by Paddle: your card number, expiry date and security code are entered on Paddle’s side and never reach us. From Paddle we receive confirmation of payment and the buyer’s email address — enough to open access.
3. What is kept in your browser
Besides the language cookie, the course keeps two records in your browser’s local storage: `cc-course-v1`, a copy of your progress so the course still works when the connection drops, and `cc-course-merged`, a marker that progress accumulated before signing in has already been moved into your account.
Plus the technical session cookies set by the authentication service: without them a sign-in would not survive past one page.
4. Why we do this
Email — so you can sign in and receive messages about access and updates. Progress — to show you where you stopped, on any of your devices. Language — so we do not ask for your choice again. Country from IP — to show you a suitable version of the site and price. The practical assignment — to review it, because the review is part of what you paid for.
Everything above except language and country is processed because otherwise we could not perform our agreement with you. Language is your explicit choice. Country we determine in our legitimate interest of showing you a suitable version of the site.
We do not profile you and take no automated decisions about you. No algorithm evaluates you or affects what is available to you.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising. Data is processed only by the services the site cannot work without:
- Paddle — sells the course in its own name and takes payment; sees the payment details you enter on its side, and your email address;
- Supabase — authentication and database; sees your email, account identifier and progress. Servers in Frankfurt, Germany;
- Vercel — site hosting; sees technical request logs and your IP address;
- Resend — sends the sign-in link emails; sees your email address and the text of the message;
- Google Fonts — the fonts of the page; sees your IP address and browser details when a font loads.
All of these services are located outside Armenia, which means your data is transferred abroad.
About the fonts specifically. The page fonts load from Google’s servers. That means that when you open the site your browser contacts Google and passes it your IP address and details about itself — before you have clicked anything. We receive no data about you from Google and order no analytics from it.
We also disclose data when the law requires it — for example, on a court order.
6. How long we keep data
Email and progress — for as long as your access lasts and one year after it ends. Emails and correspondence about practical assignments — three years. Technical hosting logs — according to the hosting provider’s own rules, usually no more than a few weeks. Payment documents — as long as the law requires; some of them are kept by Paddle as the seller.
7. Your rights
You can find out what data about you we hold and get a copy of it; correct it if it is wrong; delete it together with your account and progress; withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from emails; and complain to the competent personal data protection authority of the Republic of Armenia.
All of this is done by writing to stan.shevchenko@dvsoft.tech. We reply within thirty days.
Deletion is done manually, on your written request: there is no “delete account” button on the site — one person sells this course and handles such requests personally. Deleting the account removes all of your progress as well: the progress record is tied to the account and goes with it.
8. Security
The connection to the site is encrypted. We have no password — so there is none to steal; signing in works through a one-time link with a limited lifetime. Access to the database is restricted by rules on the database side: only the owner of a progress record can read and change it, and the right to delete is granted to no one.
We cannot promise absolute security — nobody can. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the competent authority without undue delay.
9. Children
The course is not intended for anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will put a new date at the top of the page, and for substantial changes we will write to you by email. We keep earlier versions.
